When fans or fixtures are meant to be a focal point of your decor you can add a simple separate medallion after the ceiling is complete. The Medallion can be part of the plan for special tiles where your fixture will be centered. For classical tin ceilings these are the natural choice. Single tin tiles with a central design or a set of tiles that each form a part of the medallion design. This lets you frame and show off a chandelier or stained glass fixture that is like a jewel in the center of the ceiling.
