Calculate how many 24×24″ ceiling tiles you will need for your project
Use This Handy Calculator to determine how many tiles you need if the ceiling tiles you want to order are sold in the 24 by 24 inch size.
Note: It is important to add a 15% overage to be certain to have enough tiles to maintain your pattern.
The result shown here has added on that additional 15% to have sufficient Ceiling Tiles to allow for trimming and pattern matching.
If you are certain that you will not need any additional tiles for pattern matching, ceiling fixtures or imperfect room size, you can deduct 15% from this total and have enough tiles.
This Calculator utilizes javascript. If you have disabled javascript in your browser, it will not work.
You can calculate it on any calculator, just use the total number of square feet in your room, divide by “4” which is the number of square feet covered by one 24 x 24 inch tile. Take that result and multiply times “1.15” to find the total number of tiles to order when the design you want is 24 x 24 inches. IF You are certain that you do not need any extra tiles for trim and pattern matching, do not multiply times 1.15, just take the number of square feet in your room and divide by 4.
